The production of national defence policies on military capability development topics, particularly on capability acquisition and military logistics and infrastructure, in coordination with other Ministry Directorates, GHQ, relevant federal ministries and external agencies and other strategic stakeholders.

To provide deep specialist knowledge of logistics and infrastructure (e.g. materiel supply, operational deployments, military works/engineering, logistic services, maintenance, contract support and PBL, infrastructure lifecycle management) as well as military acquisition (e.g. identification of needs, analysis of alternatives, business case, procurement, disposal).

To develop & define logistic governance and oversight policies and frameworks to guide how the supply chain enterprise operates and conducts governance & the development of strategic logistic approaches, frameworks and processes.

The delivery large-scale strategic Transformation, Change Management & Continuous improvement initiatives & the formulisation of policy development around logistic capability development topics, and strategic logistics and infrastructure.

To provide through-life support to the development of the organisation’s strategic agenda, long term goals (5 years), strategic plans (3 years), annual plans (1 year), & to conduct all relevant research required to support development of the strategic organisational plan (key external trends, overall internal assessment).

To engage with Leadership, Directorates and official offices to collect inputs for developing the long-term goals and strategic plans.

To coordinate the process of cascading the organisation’s long-term plans into annual department-level initiatives and activities

To coordinate with other departments & external agencies to ensure the Strategic Plan is the primary input for development of budgets & manpower plans.



Provide a comprehensive understanding of the current global geo-political situation & ensure the regulatory compliance of the strategic planning process of the organisation with the standard operating procedures and all external auditing/governing bodies.
